I've been a little absent this week - and with good reason! Instead of my usual wandering around the mountains, we've been at the beach.
When I got Sam's baseball schedule and saw that they were playing a spring break tournament in Myrtle Beach I was a little... meh. Myrtle Beach generally has a reputation for being incredibly crowded, and a little bit of the place you go to get drunk on cheap beer while you get your poorly-thought-out tattoo. BUT, joke's on me, because we've had a lovely time. Granted, April is not high season so it wasn't at highest density, but also we were just north of Myrtle Beach in Cherry Grove and it was great.
There's a reason Myrtle Beach has become so popular - the beach itself is gorgeous. Wide and flat, and with more shells than I've ever seen.
We're about to head home, after one last ball game. It's been a great vacation, with time to recharge, and play with new crochet ideas, and some lovely walks on the beach. I'm looking forward to hitting the ground running when we get back, but it's been a lovely stretch of relaxation and play time in Cherry Grove.
