Keep Going
I love Austin Kleon's books - and in particular recommend them for anyone engaged in a creative field, or wanting to explore their creativity - and his new one was just released last week. Yay! I took it with me up to Craggy Gardens last week, and it was exactly the thing to sit and read while looking out at the mountains.
One piece of his advice: practice drawing what you see, so that you take the time to really see it. Apparently it's the act of drawing that's important here, not the quality of the finished product (which is great since I'm terrible at drawing). This makes sense to me - sort of like a walking meditation. I'm going to go forth and be still and make terrible drawings and enjoy it.
