Today's wildlife sightings - the heron showed up, creating dog pandemonium. And, strangely, also crow pandemonium. The crows were in full attack, in mid air. Exciting. And then a flock of wild turkeys came wandering through the yard. Like drunk, lost tourists, they sort of weave along looking like they're going to end up mugged in an alley somewhere. Surprisingly, though, they can actually fly pretty well - as they showed when the dogs noticed them. And just when we were thinking we were actually going to stop watching the wildlife and get some work done, a coyote went slinking through the woods right on the other side of the fence.
As you can imagine, the dogs were about to burst something after a morning this interesting. And I kind of was too - I wanted that coyote to come back, but alas I just got more drunk turkeys and the rampaging crows.
